You have to see Mark Calcavecchia's bacon pants

I love the smell of bacon in the morning. We presume Mark Calcavecchia does, too -- not only because he may find it delicious, but that it smells like victory.

On Sunday, Calcavecchia won his fourth Champions Tour title in Iowa at the Principal Charity Classic. He did so wearing bacon-print pants. Just look at those babies. He also had a matching, bacon-print belt. You're either disgusted or salivating.

Calc first wore the pants in Round 1 on Friday after the organizers of the Des Moines-based bacon festival, Bacon Mania, which is totally real, turned him onto the trousers. He did well with them, shooting 67 in the first round, but went back to his regular slacks in Round 2. With a shot to win going into the last day on Sunday, Calc went back to bacon.

"All of a sudden I grabbed the lead and I'm like, 'I've got to wear them. I'll give them one more shot,'" Calcavecchia said after the win.

It clearly worked, to the sizzle of a $262,500 first-place check. A final-round 69 was enough to beat Brian Henninger and Joe Durant by a shot.

See? Bacon does make everything better.
